Since
May of 2003 our "Earn While You Learn" has been helping women, men, and
children gain the skills they need to be better parents, providers, and
citizens within our community. This program rewards learning, fosters
responsibility, and nurtures relationships as our volunteers and staff
have the opportunity to be Christ to our clients - meeting them at
their point of need.
As clients gain parenting education
and skills with a Client mentor, they earn “Baby Bucks" –to spend in
our “Stop & Shop” Store. Not only does this program educate our
clients on parenting & life skills-but it also provides them with a sense of pride as they “earn” the things they need for their baby.
We
are always in need of new or gently used maternity clothing, baby and
infant clothing up through age 2, baby blankets, as well a diapers
& formula. All items that you donate are tax deductable!
By
offering medical services, such as ultrasound, we are empowering our
clients to choose life. Ultrasound opens "a window to the womb" to a
mother in a crisis pregnancy and introduces this mother to her unborn
child for the very first time. During this time the mother is able to
bond with her unborn child.
Free Pregnancy Tests -
We service approximately 50 girls every month with free pregnancy
tests, accurate information on pregnancy, and abstinence education.
Free Ultrasound - We offer early limited ultrasounds to confirm viability of pregnancy.
Life Skills’ & Parenting Program
- Our life skills program has mentors that meet with clients either
one-on-one or in groups of 2-3. This program helps clients to establish
and fulfill goals and also teaches parenting, budgeting and other life
skills. We currently have been mentoring 15 clients per week. The
clients earn “Baby Bucks” for attending classes, which they can spend
in our “Stop and Shop” Store.
PAS Workshops
- We offer quarterly post abortion stress workshops for women who are
dealing with the aftermath of abortion. They learn to come to peace
with their past decision and receive God’s healing.
Life Choices Clinic does not perform or refer for abortion and provides a written disclaimer to this effect to clients requesting services. |
