What a great day for the clinic! Approximately 150 people were on hand at Hell's Gate Marina to "Walk for Life." Over 80 registered walkers raised just over $20,000 to help support the ministry.
We actually had two walkers that reached the $1,000 mark and they will be part of the inaugural "Save a Life Supper Club." It was a festive atmosphere with juice, coffee, and warm cinnamon rolls, a silent auction table with unique gift items, and music provided by the band "Wake Up Jane." Hand-made walking sticks went out to our "Top Ten" walkers.
We are grateful to all who helped make this such a great event: volunteers and staff, helping with behind the scenes work of mailings and promotion, and our great sponsors who helped make the event possible. Special thanks goes out to the Knights of Columbus who helped with set-up and served the walkers. And finally, thank you to our supporting pastors and churches - without the family of faith working with us, this ministry simply would not exist. |
